Sister Almah’s Testimony Of
Being Afflicted With Cancer Several Times!
It was in October 1994 when I discovered a problem on my left
breast, an indentation that looked like a dimple. I knew I had
not seen that before! I knew it wasn’t normal, and in a
few days I felt a tightening, picking sensation inside. I was
taking my mother to the doctor for a check up the next day; her
doctor was also my family doctor, so I thought I would ask him
to look at it then. He checked my Mother, and then I asked him
if I could talk to him privately. I took my mother in her wheelchair
out to the waiting room, and then went back to see him. When
I showed him the indentation, he called his nurse and said, immediately
she needs an X-ray, and immediately an ultrasound! Well it all
started, he asked which surgeon I would prefer. I wasn’t
sure, he gave me some names, and I chose a Jewish doctor who
was a relative of friends of ours, that we had studied the Torah
and Hebrew with on a weekly basis for years! I was in shock at
all this!
When I got home from the doctor’s office, I went to the
bedroom and stood before the mirror and cried out to Yahweh first!
I said “If you want me to go with you, I’m willing,
but if you think I should be here for awhile longer, Please Save
me from all this!” Then I got out my Deliverance notebook
and began to come against haSatan and all his cancer demons,
and the terminator spirit that wanted to take my life, etc. Hallelu-Yah!
The doctor’s office made an appointment for me with the
Surgeon the next day! He did a needle biopsy and asked me to
wait right there in the waiting room until he came back from
the Laboratory. He walked it over from his office to the General
Hospital, which was next door, to get the results quickly. I
had let it go too long already, just waiting those couple days!
When he returned he said he would have to remove the breast immediately
and told his girls in the office to find a space for me in his
busy schedule! I was shocked, and I asked him how he knew my
whole breast had to be removed and could he just remove the lump?
He said he could, but we would be taking a chance because he
has to send the tumor away, and it takes a day or so for the
results. He did as I asked, and just took the tumor out and closed
me back up, but when the diagnosis returned it showed it was
malignant and he said I would have to return to the Hospital
the next morning for surgery to remove the whole breast and possibly
some Lymph nodes. Well they removed 35 lymph nodes and sent them
away, and five were involved with cancer. I just made it, because
they say if there are six or more, you don’t make it, the
cancer spreads too fast through all the lymph nodes.
All through this, I prayed to Yahweh and I also had asked many
people to pray for me and for the Physicians that were treating
me. I was anointed with oil on that Shabbat after I was told
the results; and everyone prayed that Yahshua would bring me
through this! I was taught, as a little girl whenever we are
afflicted with any sickness to ask the Elders to anoint you with
oil and pray and Yahweh would raise you up! James 5:14-15
I recovered from the surgery it was awful painful!
I could not lift my arms up; I had to go to rehab therapy for
weeks, just to learn how to strengthen the muscles back up.
Then someone told me about a
special diet that would help me, so I started on carrot juice, raw fruits
and vegetables, and vitamins. I had to go through about 6 months of mild
chemotherapy. I did not loose all my hair; it just thinned and stayed that
way! The main thing is that Yahwehshua brought me through. The chemo would
make me weak, but Yahweh would restore me in a few days and my platelets
would always be up when I had my next blood work done! I had a very good
report card through it all! Hallelu-Yah! I also learned about Essiac tea, through my Chiropractor giving
me a booklet to read, about a woman named Renee Caisse, who received
a recipe for a tea, from an Indian when her aunt was dying with
cancer. She got better and then Renee Caisse who was also a registered
Nurse, treated everyone that was sick and came to her home, with
this tea formula! Finally her granddaughter named it after her,
spelling her last name backwards. I still take this tea, 3 – 5
times a week; I also give it to my husband, because it also helps
many Diabetics! The Chiropractor told me that everyone he has
told to take it and did, is still living! The ones, who doubted
and did not believe it would help them, were all dead!
My second Attack with Cancer!
In August 1997, I was having problems with my chest, my throat,
and my voice box troubled me. I knew something wasn’t right.
I went up for prayer on that next Shabbat and then through that
week, I felt a lump on my breastbone above my right breast. I
showed it to my husband and after he prayed, he said to get it
looked at quickly! By the next Monday morning when I called the
Surgeon office, it was twice the size! They told me to come right
in to his office after I called and he checked it, and told his
secretary to make me an appointment for the next day, for blood
work and for surgery at the Hospital! When he removed the lump,
he was amazed that it was completely encapsulated. I know Yahweh
did that; He certainly saved me again, because when they got
the results back from the laboratory, it showed that it was malignant.
Also the tissue and the twenty-five lymph nodes he removed just
to be sure, came back negative. I didn’t have to have any
chemo after that surgery. But I did have to go through rehab
therapy for my arms to get strengthened again, because of the
Twenty-five lymph nodes being removed it was very painful to
lift my arms again. In a few weeks I was as good as new! Hallelu-Yah!
My third Attack with Cancer!
In September 1999, I went for an MRI and X-ray and Blood work.
To my surprise, again I was afflicted with cancer. This time
it was my right breast. A little spot showed up, deep inside
about the size of the end of a pencil. They had a new way of
examining to determine if it was cancer, before they went in
with surgery. This tiny dot that showed up on this new machine,
started everything all over again! The surgeon said I had to
have the whole breast removed in order to reach that little spot
of cancer! Wow!
The date was scheduled for the following day, and everything
went well as it was removed. They were sure they got it all,
but to be cautious, they wanted me to go through some radiation
treatments. In a couple weeks after the surgery, I went for radiation.
It was an awful nerve wracking thing to go through! To lay there
for about 20 minutes with this powerful machine beaming on you,
and the noise of it was hard on the nerves also. A few years
before this, I had stopped using the Microwave, because a doctor’s
report that was given to me, said the Microwaves could cause
breast and prostate cancer!
Many people are going through radiation today, on many parts
of the body! While at these different treatment centers, I witnessed
to many people. The doctors said I had such a good attitude while
going through all this that I had to go through. They said I
was an encouragement to them, as well as others in their waiting
rooms.
I give my Heavenly Father and Saviour Yahwehshua all the Kavode/Glory
for keeping me through all that I went through! My husband went
through this all with me; he did all he could do to help me.
I know he prayed for me and interceded continually, especially
after loosing his son Mark, to cancer, he didn’t want to
loose me also! This was very rough for the both of us! Some of
the Sisters came to help me also!
I am still here in 2005! It seemed that the three times I was
afflicted with cancer was right before the Fall Feast Days! It
was like the enemy would come in like a flood, and try to ruin
these special days that we looked forward to every year! I have
had many afflictions, between rheumatoid arthritis, that has
tried to cripple my fingers, and keep me from playing the piano
and accordion, also borderline diabetes, and neuropathy that
tried to cripple my legs. The Scripture that I stand on is, “The
afflictions of the righteous are many, but Yahweh shall deliver
us out of them all!” Psalm 34:19
Yahweh has showed me many things through all of these afflictions
and has given me many songs through them all, as I waited upon
Him for Victory! He especially told me to remember my brothers
and sisters in prayer around the world, who are afflicted with
these same afflictions, as I have! Hallelu-Yah! 1
